In a shocking turn of events, Dileep’s manager Appunni surrendered before the Aluva police today in connection with the Malayalam actress assault case. Appunni was absconding since actor Dileep was arrested by the police for conspiring the abduction and assault of a popular Malayalam actress. Appunni was served a notice by the SIT in connection with the case after prime accused, Pulsar Suni, claimed that he made calls to him several times from the jail and had even sent a letter to be handed over to Dileep.

Reports suggest that Appunni arrived at the Aluva Club police after the High Court rejected his application of anticipatory bail. On Friday, the High Court rejected his bail application and asked Appunni to appear before the police for questioning in connection with the case after officials told the court that it was required to question him to solve the case.

According to media reports, the remand report of police stated that Appunni was the person who Pulsar suni had sent the letter to and requested him to hand it over to Dileep. The remand report also states that Pulsar Sunni had made several calls to Appunni and Dileep’s friend actor-director Nadirshah, and both of them kept ignoring calls.

Reports also suggest that Dileep ignored all these calls made by Pulsar Suni and instead filed a complaint with the police that he was being threatened by Suni to pay him money, else would name him as the mastermind in the case.

Appunni’s surrender before the police will now be very vital for the police to complete the investigation of the Malayalam actress assault case.
