Dileep, who was earlier arrested for allegedly plotting an assault attack on a popular Malayalam actress, has got his remand period extended till September 2, 2017, by Angamaly first class judicial magistrate court.

According to a leading news portal, the Kerela High Court is considering Dileep’s bail plea and the session will continue tomorrow as in, Wednesday as well.

Dileep’s team argued that there was no conspiracy involved and that the actor did not pay money to the main accused Pulsar Suni in order to commit the crimes. The argument lasted for 3.4 hours and the defense was reprimanded by the court for mentioning Malayalam actress’ name often.

For the uninitiated, a popular Malayalam actress was abducted and molested while on her way to Kochi. This created a buzz in the industry and soon AMMA organised a protest meet, condemning the incident.

At the event, Manju Warrier spoke about how there was a conspiracy behind the whole case and urged AMMA to take action. Dileep’s worries began when the main accused Pulsar Suni tried reaching out to him from jail.

In turn, cops called him for questioning and arrested him thereafter. Following this, he was sentenced to 14 days in judicial custody. As a result of all this, he was dismissed from AMMA and that too in the most unceremonious manner. And if reports in a leading daily are to be believed, the actor has vowed to never join AMMA again. Dileep has worked on several projects with AMMA including the movie Twenty:20
