Malayalam actress assault case: Kerala High Court rejects Dileep's plea for CBI probe

Malayalam actor Dileep, who is one of the accused in the 2017 abduction and assault case of the actress recently made a plea for CBI probe. Now according to media reports, Kerala High Court has rejected Dileep’s plea for a CBI probe in the case. According to a report in ANI, the court rejected the plea as the investigation in the case was going in the right direction and that Dileep’s plea had no significance.

On the other hand, Dileep argued that the police investigation is biased. He also added in his argument that how he is being trapped in the case over fake evidence by the police. However, the verdict was not produced in favour of the actor. Also. in his plea, Dileep asked for the evidence of the case which included a memory card in which the attack visuals have been stored.

Dileep was a prime accused in the abduction and sexual assault of an actress in February 2017. The actress was attacked on February 17, 2017, while she was on her way traveling in her own car from her home in Thrissur to Kochi. Now it remains to see what new turns this case takes.
