After Dileep’s bail plea was rejected by the court for the fourth time, prosecution in the Malayalam actress assault case tells the court that Kavya Madhavn’s driver had made as many as 41 calls to witness in the case and tried to influence the witness. According to media reports, prosecution also argued that if the bail is granted to actor Dileep in the case, there are high chances that the evidences and witnesses may be manipulated with since he is a very influential personality in the Malayalam film industry, reports suggest.
Dileep was arrested on July 10th, 2017 after the Aluva Club police is said to have found irrefutable evidence against him in conspiring the abduction and sexual assault of a popular Malayalam actress. The actress was abducted by unknown men on the night of February 17th, 2017 when she was traveling back to home from a shoot in Kochi. The actress was later let off by the men and was threatened if dire consequences if she went to the police.
The incident came to light on the morning of February 18th after the victim approached the police and filed a complaint. The case has since then witnessed numerous twists and turns after the police started investigating from all possible angles. The prime accused, Pulsar Suni, was arrested by the police in the first week of March who is said to have spilled the beans about Dileep and Kavya Madhavan’s involvement in the case. Dileep is currently jailed in sub-jail at Aluva.
