During a recent press conference, MLA PC George had expressed his views on the infamous actress assault case and implied that the attack was not really that serious. He had gone on to shame the victim by saying that she returned to work just a day after the incident.
“If (the attack was serious) then, how can she resume shooting for her films the next day?” he had added.
Now, the actress has written an emotional letter to the Kerala CM and lashed out at George. In her letter, she has stressed that was able to return to work as she wanted to fight for other victims of such assaults. She went on ask whether people like George feel she should have committed suicide following the incident.
“I held on strongly to my self-confidence and courage from the next day of the assault, only because I should not fail in this agitation. If I fail, I know it will be the failure of many women like me. What do people like PC George think? Should I have committed suicide? Or should I have been dumped in a mental asylum? Or should I hide somewhere by not appearing in public?” she added.
Well, this powerful letter proves that the survivor is one strong-willed individual.
In case you did not know, earlier this year, the actress was sexually assaulted while on her way to Kochi. A few months later, actor Dileep came under the radar and was arrested in connection with the case.
