Mammootty to act in a game-thriller which will be directed by Deen Dennis

Malayalam megastar Mammootty is a busy star this year and has a slew of films under his belt that he would be shooting for. 2018 and 2019 will be one of the busiest year for Mammuka and the seasoned actor will be seen in a slew of interesting flicks. Mammootty has now signed another film which is said to be a game-thriller and will be directed by young filmmaker Deen Dennis who is son of renowned Malayalam writer Kaloor Dennis. This yet to be titled film will be a game-thriller and will be made on a massive budget. “I spent around two years on this. I narrated the story to Mammukka last year. He liked it. Since it is a complicated thread, he suggested taking some time to work on this,” Deen was quoted as saying by Deccan Chronicle.

The young filmmaker says that this genre hasn’t been touched upon yet in Malayalam cinema and will be a new experience for audience altogether. “That is one reason why I took up this subject. First, I decided to shoot it as a short movie. But I changed my mind once I developed the subject. I talked to Mammukka. He listened to the story scene order and liked it. I was not planning to direct the movie, but he suggested me directing it. So, I decided to give it a shot. It is an out and out thriller with all the necessary elements,” It is an out and out thriller with all the necessary elements,” Deen added further.

The shooting of the film will begin in December this year after Mammootty wraps up all his prior commitments. Speaking about working with Mammootty, Deen says that he is a bit nervous yet confident that he will be able to pull off. “It is a challenge. I am ready to face it and I’m confident about the subject,” he added.
