Nayanthara is arguably one of the most popular stars in South cinema today. And, she is going through a good phase on the work front these days. Last year, she gave strong proof of her abilities when Aramm opened to a good response at the box office and received rave reviews. Directed by newcomer Gopi Nainar, it featured her in the role of an IAS officer and did well at the box office. While praising it, noted actor Sivakarthikeyan had said that it dealt with a solid issue in a mature way.

“There is no entertainment quotient in Nayanthara’s Aramm and the makers have made a bold decision of straight away jumping into the strong content. It is a wonderful and touching film which is a must watch for one and all as it touches upon important and essential issues and engages audiences throughout,” he had added.

As it so happens, 2018 may turn out to be an equally good year for her. She has already tasted success with Jai Simha. And, now, she is all set to bag a big film. According to the latest reports, the ‘Lady Superstar’ could soon be roped in to play the female lead in the highly ambitious YSR biopic. The film is likely to feature Mammootty as the former mass leader and has created a buzz in the industry. If things work out, this will mark Nayan’s first film with Mammooka since Puthiya Niyamam.

On a related note, this is a busy time for Nayan . At present, she has several films in her kitty including Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and COCO. Similarly, Mammootty is one of M-town’s busiest stars. His upcoming films include Parole, Uncle and Raja 2 to name a few.

So, are you excited about seeing Nayan and Mammootty on the big screen again?
