Mammootty to work with ‘Oru Second Class Yathra’ director soon

The legendary Mammootty is arguably one of the most decorated names in Malayalam cinema today. During a successful career that spans over four decades, the National award winner has won the love of fans courtesy his charming personality, gripping performances, and remarkable range as a performer. Moreover, over the years, he has been a part of several popular films and proved that he is a synonym for greatness.

Now, he is in the limelight again. According to the latest reports, M-town’s ‘Best Actor’ will star in director Regis Anthony’s ‘Vamban’. Anthony is best known for directing the Vineeth Sreenivasan starrer ‘Oru Second Class Yathra’. Well, this is good news and we wish Mammookka good luck for this one.

 On a related note, even at his age, Mammootty is showing no signs of slowing down anytime in the near future. He was last seen in the Ajai Vasudev directorial ‘Masterpiece’ and delivered a massy performance. At present, he has a host of films in his kitty including the Tamil-Malayalam bilingual ‘Street Lights’. It is action-drama and will see him essay the role of a cop. Directed by Shamdath, it also features Prithvi Rajan in a key role and has created a buzz amongst movie buffs. Sometime ago, the director had said that it will be quite an entertaining experience for fans.

“It is an entertainer. Sure, there are elements like murder and fights, but it is definitely a pleasant watch. It is a complete package with humour, crime and every other element. We see a lot of people, but then some of them may get connected to us by coincidence. Streetlights explores such a thread,” he had told a leading daily.
