Manju Warrier is currently working on her upcoming film which is being directed by Phantom Praveen. The film is yet to be titled and the story of the film is set in the backdrop of Trivandrum. Manju Warrier plays a character named Sujatha in this film. The story revolves around the life of a widow who faces hurdles in life to raise her daughter.
The latest news on the film is that Mamtha Mohandas has been roped in for an important character in the film. Mamtha will play the role of an IAS officer in the film. Martin Prakat, who is working closely with this yet to be titled film, revealed details about the developments. Martin told a leading daily, “Mamta plays an important role of a District Collector, who deals with the public at a grass root level. The story takes a turn through her. character and some of the events in the film are based on real-life IAS officers and incidents.”
Speaking about Manju’s character, Martin also added, “We had decided that Manju’s character won’t need make-up in the film but she surprised us all by saying she would go for a ‘make down’ to bring originality to the character.“
Mamtha Mohandas is currently working on Detroit Crossing which has Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role. She is also a part of Fahadh Faasil’s upcoming film titled Venu’s Carbon. Mamtha will join the shoot of Manju Warrier’s film after she completes wrapping up her scenes for both these films.
