During a recent interaction with the media, actress Majima Mohan opened up about playing the lead role in ‘Zam Zam’ the Malayalam remake of ‘Queen’ and said that stepping into Kangana Ranaut’s shoes is a big challenge. She went on to add that Kangana had done a splendid job in ‘Queen’ and no one can truly replicate her act.
“I’m very excited about the role, but along with that, there’s so much responsibility that has come and a lot of pressure too. What Kangana did in the film was an outstanding performance and I don’t think me or any of the other actors will be able to rise up to her performance. But what we can do is to perform according to our own skill,” she added.
Besides this, Manjima also said ‘Zam Zam’ is going to be a bit different from ‘Queen’ as its story will be set in Kerala.
“We can’t adapt everything from the film, since the film is being made in the South, and that too in Kerala. And so there are limitations and within that limit, I am trying to give my best,” said the Paruldiva.
Well, we wish Manjima the very best for ‘Zam Zam’ and hope that she makes a solid impact with her performance.
On a related note, at present, ‘Queen’ is also being remade in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu as well. While Tamannaah and Kajal Aggarwal will be starring in the Telugu and Tamil versions, respectively, Parul Yadav will be doing the honours in the Kannada version.
