Manju Warrier urges fans to watch ex-husband Dileep’s Ramleela

Noted actress Manju Warrier recently took to Facebook and lashed out at those who are opposing the release of her ex-husband Dileep’s ‘Ramleela’. In her post, she said that call for burning down theatres playing the filmwase ‘unfortunate’ and one must realise that a lot of people are associated with ‘Ramleela’. The actress went on to add that if the film is not allowed to hit screens a lot of dreams will be shattered.

“I saw a call for boycotting Ramleela and some even said that the theatres should be burned. I feel such a stand is unfortunate. We shouldn’t show our personal liking or dislike to movie. A film is not of just one person, it’s of many people. A lot of families depend film industry, it’s an industry which give daily bread and butter, education and medicines to a lot of families. If the films go away from the theatres we will not get people to invest in movies and the dreams of many families will be shattered,” said Manju Warrier.

For the uninitiated, Dileep has been in Jail since July 10 in connection the Malayalam actress assault case which had rocked M-town earlier this year. And, as it so happens, his bail plea has been turned down on four occasions. His ‘Ramleela’, which was originally slated to hit screens in July, will finally arrive in theatres on September 28. Directed by Arun Gopy, it is a political-thriller and features Dileep in the role of a politician and also has Mukesh in the lead. Interestingly, it will hit screens alongside Manju Warrier’s ‘Udaharanam Sujatha’.

Watching the indicated movie is choice of movie goer. There will be a certain barrier for people who do not accept the actor in present juncture as it is having him in title role.Definitely burning down the theaters and anti social acts are not justifiable as those theatere owners are not responsible for the actors private life. Then about all others who made this movie happen is no one related to public to supporyt. If not watching just let it go.How many movies get released and never made it to box office..Trying destructive methods are not ways of showing protest but simply not going. Then again those who want to go should not be intimidiated which shows a fear from part of protesters. The box office of this film doesnt determine the justice that will be done…

i disagree. it will teach producers to no longer associate themselves with monsters like dileep. the only way the audience can express their love is to watch the movies. and to express dislike by avoiding it! our money is our vote!
