Actor Mohanlal recently interacted with media at the Ernakulam Press Club over AMMA’s decision of reinstating actor Dileep, which has hit the controversy. At the press meet yesterday, the actor that Dileep’s issue was not included in the agenda of the general body and that how some raised their voice later. He said, “We had decided suddenly that Dileep had to be ousted as FEFKA and Producers’ Council had taken action against him. Later, this (taking him back) had to be presented at the General Body meeting. When it was presented, no one opposed. No woman, no opposing group said anything against taking Dileep back.”

When asked about actor Parvathy’s comments that she would like to have contested in the AMMA elections, Mohanlal said that she was never stopped for submitting the nomination for the AMMA election. He said, “Who stopped her? I do not believe that. If it was true, she could have come to that general body meeting and said openly that she was being stopped. In our association, a person named Unni Shivapal wanted to contest and what did is one among us withdrew out the nomination. So if Parvathy had told, she would have also been taken. Even now, she can come. We are ready to give her a position.”

He further said that the actress might have only expressed her interest to be a part of AMMA. “If she really wanted to be part of AMMA, she should have come there and said it,” said Mohanlal at the media meet.

The Malayalam superstar also spoke about receiving only two resignation letters from Bhavana and Remya Nambeesan to quit AMMA and the association is yet to decide on it.

Mohanlal then took offence at the fact that Dileep has said he will stay away from AMMA. “Now, Dileep doesn’t want to come to AMMA. So what is the point of us discussing whether to take him back?” he said at the press meet.
