Mohanlal to undergo training for 2 years for Mahabharata

The complete actor wants to prepare very hard for the role.

Baahubali 2 is releasing in less than a week now and the nation is excited to watch it on the big screens. With all the excitement around for the movie, the makers do know that it is going to be successful film. And just when everyone thought that Baahubali will stand out as the biggest movie in Indian Cinema came the news of Mohanlal’s Mahabharata. This mythological film will be made a whopping budget of INR 1000 crores. NRI businessman BR Shetty, who owns the UAE Exchange, is bankrolling this epic film and the direction iss being taken care of by ad film maker V Shrikumar.

Mohanlal posted a video on his social networking page and officially announced the details of the project. Lalettan said,” Like most children in India, I too grew up listening to the tales of Mahabharata and Ramayana. Bheema for most people who read Mahabharata was a loyal brother with a huge body and a large appetite. It was after MT Vasudevan Nair’s novel Randamoozham that many understood that other than just having a huge figure, Bheema was an emotional being.”

Talking about the preparation that will go into the film, Mohanlal said, “I will train to be Bheema for the next two years. The film will have various forms of warfare including use of clubs.  I will train under various gurus.

Mahabharata will surpass Baahubali in terms of budget of a film after completion. The makers are planning to shoot it in 4 different languages – Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada and Telugu, and then dubbed into rest of the Indian languages.
