During a recent interaction with TNM, Neha Sharma opened up about ‘Solo’—which marks her return to Southern cinema after nearly 10 years—and said that shooting for the film was challenging courtesy the language barrier. She went on to add that she has not dubbed for ‘Solo’ as her accent is not authentic enough.
“The film is bilingual, so it was like shooting for 8 films (Solo has four parts). You shoot a scene in Tamil and then shoot the same thing in Malayalam. So obviously, we were doing everything twice. I was doing only the Tamil lines but even that was very, very difficult. Though I didn’t do the dubbing, I had to learn my Tamil lines, how those words are spoken and say it like that,” she added.
Well, we hope that Neha’s efforts pay off and she manages to impress fans with her act in ‘Solo’. In case you did not know, ‘Solo’ is touted to be a romantic-thriller and features heartthrob Dulquer Salmaan in the lead. An anthology of four stories, it has already created quite a buzz amongst fans courtesy its teasers and is one of the biggest releases of the year. Sometime ago, DQ had said that he took up the film as he considers Bejoy to be a great filmmaker.
So, are you looking forward to the release of ‘Solo’? Will DQ be able to deliver the goods? Let us know in the space below.
