During a recent chat with a leading daily, actress Neha Sharma recalled the fun she had while shooting with Dulquer Salmaan for ‘Solo’ and said that he is a terrific guy to work with. She went on to add that she did not know much about the young star’s stardom when she had signed ‘Solo’.
“I was unaware of how huge a star Dulquer is. I live in my own shell and honestly had no idea who I was working with in the film. Only after I started shooting did I realise that he is one of the most celebrated actors in the south. I actually Wikipediaed him on day two of the shoot. He is a professional and was wonderful to work with — I know it is quite cliched to say so. But I can say that he is very passionate about his craft,” she added.
Well, these are some sweet words and are bound to create a buzz among DQ’s loyal fans. In case you did not know, ‘Solo’ was a romantic-thriller and hit screens last month amidst the theatre strike. The film ultimately landed in the news for the wrong reasons when the producers altered its climax without director Bejoy Nambiar’s consent. However, that said and done, it did manage to get the thumbs up from DQ’s fans.
On a related note, with ‘Solo’ in the rear-view mirror, Dulquer has now moved on to ‘Mahanati’. The film is based on the life of actress Savitri and is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual.
