Actress Nithya Menen has some interesting flicks under her belt which include the Tamil film ‘Mersal’ starring actor Vijay. While Mersal is said to be a mass entertainer, Nithya will also be seen in an interesting role in director VK Prakash’s upcoming multi-lingual which is said to be story about injustice and intolerance. The film will be made in all four South Indian languages – Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. Nithya is said to be playing a writer in the film who depicts the situation in the society.
“The entire movie has a thrilling mood to it and is set in a hill station. Nithya plays an English writer who focuses on social issues. The movie also deals with intolerance and injustice that’s prevailing in the contemporary society,” director VK Prakash told TOI.
The yet to be titled film has some big names working as technicians on it like cinematographer PC Sreeram, Sound Designer Resul Pookutty and Louis Banks composing the music. The script of the film is penned down by Rajesh Jayaraman who has vast experience of working in different film industries.
The film will be a first-of-its-kind, in terms of technology, and will use the sync surround technology for the sound part of the film. “Resul will be experimenting with the technology to capture all ambient noises, and not just the dialogues as done in usual sync sound movies. Sync always helps the natural performance for a film like this. We are not doing the usual jingbang that you see in a film of this genre, but are dealing with pure story telling,” added the director.
