During a recent interaction with a leading daily, actor Nivin Pauly opened up about his bond with Mangaluru and revisited his days as a techie. He went on to add that shooting in the city nearly 10 years later, is a surreal experience.
“How things have changed in 10 years! The last time I came here was in 2007; I was still a techie, visiting friends who had moved from the Bengaluru office to Mangaluru and had come by the night bus. This time, though, it’s for a film,” he added.
Besides this, he also spoke about his love for Kannada cinema and explained why he decided to star in the upcoming remake of ‘Ulidavaru’. Speaking on the topic, he said that it was the second Kannada film. And, as expected, he liked it a lot.
“My Kannadiga friends were all praise for that film. After I left Bengaluru, my second Kannada flick was Ulidavaru. I lost no time in expressing my desire to act in it. Bengaluru girl Shraddha Srinath is a part of it,” he added.
Interestingly, Nivin Pauly also spoke about his bond with Kannada star Rakshit Shetty and said that he is keen to work with his good friend, in the future.
“We are planning to work together soon. It could start off with a cameo and later move to bigger things, but we have to start off somewhere. It’s high time we did away with this language divide and started working as artists,” he added.
Well, this is quite a revelation and is bound to create a buzz amongst fans.
