Unless you have been under a rock the last few days, you’ll be aware of how Priya Varrier has become a sensation courtesy her wink in the Manikya Malaraya Poovi number from Oru Adaar Love. The young actor has become a ‘National crush’ and even received romantic proposals from some over-enthusiastic fans. Furthermore, she has garnered several followers on Instagram in no time. Now, there is some more good news for her fans.

As it so happens, she recently crossed the 2.3 million followers mark on Insta. And, in doing so, she ended up having more followers than  Mollywood star Dulquer Salmaan and Telugu lady superstar Anushka Shetty. DQ currently has 1.9 million followers on Insta and made 150 posts so far. As far Anushka is concerned, she has 2 million followers on the platform. Well, we truly are happy for Priya Prakash Varrier and hope that she has a good career in M-town.

For the uninitiated, the Manikya Malaraya Poovi song has been composed by Thalassery K Refeeque and recreated by Shaan Rahman. Vineeth Sreenivasan has crooned it like the powerhouse of talent he is and added a new dimension to it. The video revolves around two sweethearts and is set in a college/school environment. In it, the lovers can be seen exchanging shy glances at each other and redefining the meaning of love.

Interestingly, while talking about her instant rise to stardom, she recently said that the whole thing is extremely surreal.

“I am very happy. Don’t know how to handle so much love. It’s completely surreal. I’m falling short of words trying to express myself. Never expected this,” he told a daily.

Oru Adaar love is touted to be a romantic-drama and has filmmaker Omar Lulu at the helm of affairs.  It features newcomers in the lead and will hit screens soon.
