Parvathy on Qarib Qarib Singlle: There’s a part of me that does not relate to marketing my films

During a recent chat with an online video page, actress Parvathy opened up about entering Bollywood with ‘Qarib Qarib Singlle’ and said that she is still getting accustomed to how intensely movies are promoted in B-town. She went on to add that the whole process of promoting her film made her feel ‘naked’.

“I’m still getting the hang of it. The industry is much bigger here. So the sort of exposure you get is much bigger. You suddenly feel very exposed. Naked, yes. Exactly, naked! There’s a part of me that doesn’t relate to marketing when it’s done. I’m not too at home with that. Because down south, we don’t do too much marketing and we’re not required to,” added the actress.

Besides this, she also spoke about the sexual harassment menace that is prevalent in our society and said that initially women were expected to be submissive but now things have started changing.

“We’re conditioned to think no is not an option to say. These days, things have changed. We’re talking about no is no. But back when I was a teenager…10-11 year ago…that was not an option,” added Parvathy.

She also said that these days those responsible for sexual harassment are being shamed and that is a positive sign. In case you did not know, ‘Qarib Qarib Singlle’ is touted to be a romantic-drama and has been directed by Tanuja Chandra. In it, Parvathy will be seen alongside the versatile Irrfan Khan.

So, do you feel that she will be able to make an impact in Bollywood? Comments, please!

Ugly and not bollywood type. These narrow minded malayali’s only promote their religion in movies. Salman Dulquer only makes muslim movies and nivin pauley makes christian movies. Don’t get them here in hindi cinema!

Absolutely! Bollywood does not deserve her. Fantastic actress and refreshing to see her on screen and a very down to earth solid beauty. Not like the so called bollywood beauties who are hiding under tonnes of makeup and white skin. But fail miserably in the acting department but call themselves accompiished actresses.
