In 2017, the lively Jimmiki Kammal track from veteran Mollywood star Mohanlal’s Velipadinte Pusthakam became the toast of the social media and that too, for all the right reasons. Composed by Shaan, it clicked with the youth because of its youthful vibe and catchy beats. In no time, edited clips showing the likes of megastar Mammootty dancing to it went viral. To make things even better, international star Jimmy Kimmel expressed a desire to give it a listen. In fact, some fans even compared Jimmiki Kammal mania with the buzz created by Dhanush’s Kolaveri Di track from 3.

Now, yet another Malayalam song is creating a buzz on the social media for the best reasons possible. The song in question is Manikya Malaraya Poovi from the film Oru Adaar Love. And, needless to say, it is just what the doctor ordered with V-day around the corner.

Set in a school/college setting, it does a good job of highlighting the innocence of love. The video revolves around two high school sweethearts and their tender romance. The boy can be seen stealing an adorable glance at his crush who too reacts in a similar way. Not surprisingly, the biggest surprise package of the video is actor Priya Varrier. The young lady’s innocence and cuteness have managed to floor young hearts and redefined the meaning of beautiful. Her playful wink has really made her the latest heartthrob of M-town. That’s what we call being effortlessly charming!

In case you did not know, Oru Adaar Love is a romantic movie and has been directed by filmmaker Omar Lulu. The Manikya Malaraya Poovi number has been composed by Thalassery K Refeeque and recreated by Shaan Rahman. Vineet Sreenivasan has rendered it and done a rocking job.
