South Indian actress Bhavana got engaged early this year to Kannada producer Naveen in a simple ceremony which was attended by close friends and family members. The actress, who has appeared in many South Indian films, was last seen in Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer ‘Adam Joan’ that released in September this year. And buzz in the film circles is that Bhavana is all set to get married to her fiancé Naveen and the families of the couple have fixed the date. According to emerging reports, Bhavana and Naveen will tie the knot on December 22nd, 2017 in Thrissur which is the native town of the actress. It is being said that the wedding will be a low-key affair, like their engagement, and will be attended by very close friends and family members of the couple. Earlier, Bhavana had said that she would like to have her wedding to be an extravagant affair but keeping it simple like any other normal wedding.

Actress Bhavana was in Dubai few months ago to launch the boutique of popular designer Rehana Basheer and the actress interacted with the media and spoke about quite a few things about her life at the present moment, plans for her wedding and her career options. The actress also spoke about the current situation in the film industry and shared her viewpoint. “There is nothing wrong with the industry, it’s just some people’s mindset that makes it dirty. Many star kids have come into the industry and if there was something wrong with the industry, will their parents ever let them join Mollywood? There is nothing wrong in the film industry as long as you are very passionate about it,” Bhavana was quoted in a report in Manoramaonline.

Bhavana says that she might take some time before accepting offers in films. The actress also spoke about her wedding plans and had said, “I want to focus on life after wedding, rather than the wedding. It’s the new life after the wedding excites me. Honestly, I haven’t started shopping yet for the big day. Hardly 3 more months for the wedding, but I feel everything will fall into place. Even my engagement was planned in two-three days and everything was done quickly.” When asked if she would quit acting post her wedding, the Adam Joan actress says, “Not at all. That’s my career. Films will always be a part of me.

Bhavana and Naveen met on the sets of a Kannada film which was produced by him. Cupid struck between the two and two dated for more than a year before getting engaged in a simple ceremony early this year. The families of the couple are said to be very happy and are making sure that the arrangements for the wedding are being done in time since the D-day is not very far away. Bhavana made her debut in acting at the age of 16 in a Malayalam film titled ‘Nammal’ which had newcomers as the lead actors. Bhavana was appreciated for her performance in the film and even received the Kerala State Special Jury Award for her role in the film. And post that, she received numerous offers in films. Bhavana has acted alongside most of the famous Malayalam and Tamil actors including Ajith, Mammootty, Mohanlal, Jayaram and Prithviraj Sukumaran among many others.

Bhavana acted in many Telugu and Kannada films as well which include Mahatma, Ontari, Jackie, Vishnuvardhana and Bachchan among many other films. Bhavana has a Kannada film titled ‘Tagaru’ lined up which stars top star Shiva Rajkumar in the lead role. The film is slated to be released on January 10, 2018. Directed by Duniya Soori, ‘Tagara’ also stars Suhasini and Devraj in pivotal roles in the film.
