Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty will be seen in a Kannada film, titled Phailwan. The film will see actor Kiccha Sudeep in the lead role. Now according to reports, the actor has signed another film. If reports are anything to go by, Suniel Shetty would be part of Priyadarshan’s magnum opus Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham. The film will see Malayalam actor Mohanlal playing the titular role of Kunjali Marakkar IV. However, no official confirmation regarding the same has been made yet.

Reportedly, the shooting of the film will go on floors from November and might also include Paresh Rawal and Nagarjuna. Marakkar is said to be inspired by the life of Kunjali Marakkar IV who was a 16th century Muslim Naval officer. Mohanlal would be seen portraying this role for which he is yet to shoot. Tollywood top star Akkineni Nagarjuna too would be seen playing an important role in Marakkar. It is not clear yet as to what role Nagarjuna would be playing in this thriller which is set in the 1600s. An official confirmation is awaited for regarding Nagarjuna’s casting in Marakkar.

Coming back to Suniel Shetty, earlier, it was reported that the actor has signed another Kannada film. However, the Border actor rubbhished the reports. Suniel Shetty took to Twitter to clear that he is doing only one Kannada film as of now and has not signed any. He wrote, “Not signed any other Kannada movie except ‘Phailwaan’ directed by @krisshdop with one of my dearest @KicchaSudeep ! Look forward to do many more but none as yet! @chitraloka.”
