Malayalam actor Dileep, who is one of the accused in the 2017 abduction and assault case of the actress recently moved to Supreme Court. In his plea, Dileep asked for the evidence of the case which included a memory card in which the attack visuals have been stored. Now after the actor has approached the court, the Supreme Court has pushed the hearing to December 12. ANI tweeted, “Supreme Court says it will hear on December 12, the plea of Malayalam actor Dilip seeking a copy of the digital evidence of alleged assault of Malayalam actress, in which he is facing trial.”
According to a report in Times Now, the apex court during the hearing asked senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi if the memory card of the mobile phone is “document” and that if it can be supplied to Dileep. The court also mentioned that the video of the alleged assault is too sensitive to be shared with anyone.
Dileep was a prime accused in the abduction and sexual assault of an actress in February 2017. The actress was attacked on February 17, 2017, while she was on her way traveling in her own car from her home in Thrissur to Kochi.
