Uncle Teaser: Mammootty once again proves why he is the Mega Star of Malayalam cinema

Malayalam Mega Star Mammootty is a busy man with numerous projects under his belt at the present moment. We recently saw the trailer of one of his upcoming films Parole which had him playing an intense role in it. Mammootty will also be seen in an emotional drama titled Uncle which will have him playing a role his age. The makers have now released a teaser of Uncle and the video gives us a glimpse of what kind of an emotional ride the film is going to be. Mammootty is seen playing the titular role and once again proves why he is the Mega Star of Malayalam cinema with the variations that he brings to any role that he dons. Uncle also stars Karthika Muraleedharan and Joy Mathew in important roles, and is being directed by Girish Damodar. Uncle is said to be the story of family who is stuck in the social and political backdrop of Kerala. It will also portray the life of a 17-year old girl and the bond she shares with her father’s best friend, whom she fondly calls Uncle. The plot is set around the journey the two take from Ooty to Kozhikode. Further details of the film are yet to be revealed by the makers. According to rumors, Mammootty’s character will have a grey shade in the movie. Asha Sharath will be seen playing the role of Mammootty’s wife. Joy Mathew, who has penned down the script and acted in uncle, recently said, “It was originally a small subject but it developed over time. With Mammootty on board, it will be a full-fledged project. I can’t reveal the subject but it’s a socially relevant and very strong one. Think of a 17 year old girl and her dad’s friend, uncle. That’s all I can say now.”
