Unni Mukundan was last seen on the silver screen Telugu film alongside Jr NTR in Janatha Garage. He has a bunch of films in his kitty and getting ready for release. One such film is Clint that is being directed by Harikumar. The film is based on the life of child prodigy Clint Edmund Joseph who has made more than 30,000 paintings and unfortunately passed away just before he turned seven years old.
Unni Mukundan is playing the role of Clint’s father and Rima Kallingal is playing the role of his mother. Recent reports suggest that Mukundan is sporting a look of Ravanan in a specific episode in the film. The director says that to portray the pain what a father goes through when his child dies, they adapted the sequence from Ramayana where Ravanan experiences similar pain when his son Meghanaad is killed in a war. Sources say that the director and Unni Mukundan have done some extensive research to decide on the final look of Ravana. The makers are trying to keep Unni Mukundan’s a secret so that it becomes a highlight for the film.
The film also has Joy Mathew, Vinay Forrt, KPAC Lalitha, Renji Panicker and Salim Kumar essaying very prominent characters. Interestingly, Clint’s real life parents too will be seen in the film in very important roles. Major portion of the shoot has been completed and the makers are planning to release it in the month of July 2017. The film is bankrolled by Gokulam Gopalan. The songs in the film are being rendered by maestro Ilayaraaja.
