Mohanlal’s film Velipadinte Pusthakam released a couple of days ago and like all Mohanlal films, this film too has taken a massive opening. The film explores the relationship between teachers and students and sees Mohanlal playing the role of Professor Michael Idikkula. The film’s release coincided with Onam.

About the film, Mohanlal had told a leading daily, “It begins in a college where I am the newly appointed vice-principal, Idiculla. After a point, the action shifts from the campus to Alappuzha where the students are working on a cinema and there is a shift in the mood of the movie too. A complete entertainer, the film has certain positive aspects to discuss too. It is always enjoyable to shoot in a campus. There is a certain magic and that enthusiasm while interacting with youngsters.”

Superstar Mohanlal’s son Pranav will be soon making his debut in the film, Aadhi. Aadhi is a suspense thriller and is being directed by Jeethu Joseph. About son’s debut, Mohanlal had said to a leading daily, “Lot of people had asked me why Pranav is not acting. As a person, I believe in giving freedom, so I don’t interfere in his privacy. Now he has come to films just like the way I entered the industry. I am happy that he is making an entry with Jeethu Joseph who is skilled in this craft,”

Jeethu Joseph shared a video from the sets of his film. Pranav Mohanlal danced to his father’s song Jimmiki Kammal from the film, Velipadinte Pusthakam. The song has gone viral owing to its peppy beats. Pranav dances on the song on the sets of his debut film, Aadhi. He is joined by fellow crew members as they shake a leg on the hit song to celebrate Onam. The song Jimmikki Kammal has been composed by Shaan Rahman and sung by Vineeth Sreenivasan.
