Popular Malayalam actor Vijayan Peringode passed away after having suffered a cardiac arrest. Vijayan was taken to the hospital by his family members after he is said to have complained of chest pain and the doctors at a private hospital in Palakkad declared him brought dead. Vijayan Peringode was 67 years old and is survived by wife Chanjalakshi and three children – Kannan, Anandapadmanabhan and Gayathri. Vijayan has acted in many hit Malayalam films and shared screen space with top stars like Mohanlal, Mammoootty, Dileep and Jayaram. Reports reveal that Vijayan Peringode did not have any health issues and was always conscious about his fitness.
Vijayan Peringode was last seen in 1971 Beyond Borders which starred Mohanlal in the lead role and was directed by Major Ravi. Reports reveal that the final rites of Vijayan Peringode will be performed in Palakkad today in the evening. Vijayan Peringode was 67 years old and breathed his last in the early hours of May 23rd.

Having started his career as a production executive in 80s, Vijayan Peringode has acted in more than 40 films in Malayalam and handful of films in Tamil. Vijayan Peringode has also featured in many ads in Malayalam besides playing supportive roles in Malayalam films. Vijayan made his acting debut with PN Menon’s Asthram and had worked in production of couple of movies previously.
Vijayan has acted alongside Mohanlal in Oppam, Mammootty in Pattalam, Dileep in Meesa Madhavan and many other stars.
