In case you were not aware, the Manikya Malaraya Poovi song has been composed by Thalassery K Refeeque and recreated by ace music director Shaan Rahman. Vineeth Sreenivasan has crooned it like a pro and added a tender feel to it. The video revolves around two young lovebirds and is set in a college/school setting. In it, the lovers can be seen exchanging shy glances at each other and making our hearts melt. Fans have termed this as the perfect song for Valentine’s season.

While talking about the response to the number, she had said that it was completely unexpected.

“I am very happy. Don’t know how to handle so much love. It’s completely surreal. I’m falling short of words trying to express myself. Never expected this,” she had added.

Interestingly, Manikya Malaraya Poovi has also run into trouble with a certain section of society. A fringe group had recently asked for a ban on it for hurting religious sentiments. Similarly, a Hyderabad-based youth had filed a complaint against the song for allegedly talking about Prophet Muhammad in a derogatory way.

Directed by filmmaker Omar Lulu, Oru Adaar Love features newcomers in the lead and will hit screens soon
