Earlier today, the Kerala High Court finally granted actor Dileep bail in connection with the actress assault case and gave his family some relief. Shortly after the star was given bail, Tomichan Mulakuppadam—who is the producer of his recently-released ‘Ramleela’—said that he was happy about the positive response to the film and would soon be showing it to Dileep. He went on to add that the star had seen the film only during dubbing.
“Many a time, the release of the movie was postponed due to various reasons. We were so tensed on the day the movie hit the screens. But our joy knew no bounds when we saw the way audience accepted. We were all impatiently waiting to see Dileep coming out of jail when the movie was released. Dileep had seen the movie only during its dubbing. Now, as he is coming out, the entire Ramaleela team will ensure that he watches the film,” he added.
In case you did not know, Ramleela is a political-drama and has been directed by Arun Gopy. Featuring Dileep in the role of a politician, it was initially supposed to hit screens in July but got delayed when the ‘Janpriya Nayakan’ got arrested on July 10. It finally hit screens on September 28 despite opposition amidst calls for boycotting it in order to show solidarity with the victim. Interestingly, such calls were condemned by the likes of Dileep’s ex-wife Manju Warrier and Vinayan.
