According to a leading website, actor Dileep’s delayed ‘Ramleela’—which was expected to hit screens this Onam—may get delayed even further. If this happens, it will arrive in theatres only after Onam. Talking about this, the film’s producer Tomichan Mulakuppadam reportedly said that he will take the final call on the matter only after talking to various associations.
Interestingly, ‘Ramleela’ was originally slated to arrive in theatres on July 7. However, it could not because of production delays. Following this, the makers’ planned to release it on July 21. But, as luck would have it, the cops arrested Dileep on July 10 in connection with the actress assault case. This forced the makers to drop plans of releasing it on July 21.
Recently, when Dileep filed a fresh bail plea in the Kerala HC, it led to speculation of ‘Ramleela’ possibly releasing during Onam. However, the High Court denied the application and once again put the film in jeopardy .It remains to be seen when it ultimately arrives in theatres.
In case you did not know, ‘Ramleela’ has been directed by Arun Gopy and features Dileep in the role of an MLA. The rest of the cast includes names such as Mukesh and Radhikaa Sarathkumar.
Interestingly, sometime ago, Arun Gopy had said that he hopes that audiences accept his film.
“Like any other director, my first film was my dream and I approached it with utmost earnestness. Some things always tend to go beyond our calculations. But I still firmly belives that if the film is good, our audience will surely accept it,” he had said.
So, do you think ‘Ramleela’ will do well at the ticket window when it ultimately hits screens?
