The superstar of Malayalam, Mohanlal is celebrating his birthday today. The Complete Actor as he is fondly called has impressed us with his incredible performances for more than three decades.
Mohanlal made his acting debut with the blockbuster film Manjil Virinja Pookkal released in the year 1980. Then there was no turning back for the superstar. He went on to star in superhit films namely Spadikam, Devasuram, Kireedam, Kilukkam, Chitram, Manichitratazhu, Bharatham, Narasimham, Vanaprastham, Pulimurugan, Drishyam among many others.
He even worked in several other Indian languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada. He was the leading actor in Aishwarya Rai Bachchan‘s debut film Iruvar.
Mohanlal was bestowed with National Film Awards for over five times. He won Special Jury Award for Kireedam (1989), Best Actor for Bharatham (1991) and Vanaprastham (1999) also for Best Film (producer), Special Jury Award (as an actor) for his 2016 movies – Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol, Pulimurugan, Janatha Garage.
