Cannes 2018: Kaala star Huma Qureshi in Manish Malhotra

Actress Huma Qureshi, who will be seen alongside superstar Rajinikanth in Kaala, has made her way to 71st Cannes Film Festival. The actress is keeping her fashion game on point at Cannes 2018. For her day one red carpet look, Huma Qureshi ditched the traditional gown and dared to be different. The actress wore a custom sparkly blush pink Nikhil Thampi suit. While the upper part of the outfit looked classy, the length of the pants and the grey mirror paillette in the bottom made it look odd. Nevertheless, we like the girls who are not scared to stand apart. Huma finished out her look with sleep hairdo and delicate neckpiece.

Well, its soo good to know that Huma Qureshi has chosen to make Indian designers’ name whisper for her red carpet appearance. For her second look, Huma Qureshi was clicked in embellished Manish Malhotra gown paired with a white long jacket. Celebrity stylist Mohit Rai is the man behind her Cannes red carpet looks. Not a wow appearance but at the same time, it wasn’t bad too.

Talking about Kaala, the film will mark Huma’s debut in Tamil cinema. She plays the role of Rajinikanth’s aide, Zareena, who helps him bring down a corrupt politician, played by actor Nana Patekar.

Helmed by Pa Ranjith, Kaala stars Nana Patekar, Anjali Patil, Huma Qureshi, Easwari Rao and Pankaj Tripathi. Directed by Pa Ranjith, the film has been produced by Rajinikanth’s son-in-law and actor Dhanush under his production banner Wunderbar Films. The film is set to release on June 7.

Meanwhile, Dhanush, who has geared up for the release of his much-talked about film Kaala starring superstar Rajinikanth, will make his debut at Cannes this year to present his Hollywood debut film The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir.
