Actress Trisha Krishnan made her acting debut in 2002 with Mounam Pesiyadhe. Although her first film was Jodi, in a supporting role, Mounam Pesiyadhe was her first lead role. The actress shot to fame right from her first movie and was soon the most sought after in the South Indian industries.
Trisha has acted in more than 50 films in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada. In a career spanning over 15 years, she is one of the few actresses in South Indian who has had a long-lasting career when compared to others. Trish, besides being glamourous, is also known for her acting prowess too. Her performances in films like Yennai Arindhaal with Ajith as the lead and Thoonga Vanam with Kamal Haasan as the lead. Critics in South Indian had expressed in the past that filmmakers in South haven’t utilised the acting prowess of Trisha to the fullest and that she can emote more than what the perceptions are.
Films like Saamy, Gilli, Lesa Lesa and Enaku 20 Unaku 18 were her initial films which didn’t have too much scope for acting. The actress, however, did impress everyone with the limited role that she had in these films. The actress now has quite a few films in the pipeline – Mohini, Garjanai, Sathuranga Vettai 2, 1818 and Hey Jude.
