The makers of Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming film revealed the first look poster and the title of the film. Titled MERSAL, Vijay looks astonishing and rustic in the first look of this film. Social media erupted out of joy with fans of the mass actor responding to the first look of Vijay from the film. MERSAL has now become a mania and Tamil cinema lovers seem to be very excited about the film.
The response for the first look of Vijay’s MERSAL was overwhelming and came on the eve of Vijay’s birthday – June 22. The director, Atlee posted the first look poster on his social networking page and said that it is his birthday gift to the actor.
Interestingly, when the first look of Ajith Kumar from his upcoming film VIVEGAM was revealed by the makers, there was a similar response from his admirers. Ajith too, like Vijay, enjoys a huge fan following amongst Tamil speakers across the globe.
These two Super Stars have enormous following amongst Tamil cinema lovers, especially in the state of Tamil Nadu. This has often resulted in fans indulging in online wars and hailing their respective favourite stars.
Both – MERSAL and VIVEGAM – are the most watched out for films now in Tamil cinema, given the kind of following Vijay and Ajith have in Tamil cinema. While VIVEGAM has Ajith play an armed officer and breaking some bones, Vijay seems to be playing to the role of a farmer in MERSAL which is not yet confirmed.
