Rajinikanth and Latha Wedding Anniversary: Here’s a look at Thalaiva’s tender lovestory

The highly revered Rajinikanth is beyond any doubt one of the most decorated and worshipped names in Indian cinema today. Fondly referred to as ‘Thalaivaa’, the living legend has established himself as a source of inspiration for fans thanks to his charismatic personality, stylish onscreen image and of course his humble nature. Moreover, he has earned the respect of fans as he is a self-made star in the purest sense. Now, he is in the limelight for an awesome reason. As it so happens, Rajini and his wife Latha completed 37 yeas of togetherness on February 26, 2018 and gave the younger folks some relationship goals.

Rajinikanth and Latha met in 1980 when the superstar was shooting for Thillu Mullu which was a remake of Golmaal and marked his first comedy role. As it so happens, Latha—who was there to interview the then fast-rising star—soon discovered that there was a lot in common between her and the star. In no time, the two fell in love and realised that they were soulmates. An excited Rajini soon shared the good news with his colleagues.

Interestingly, his good friend YG Mahendan was married to Latha’s sister and that made things a lot easier for our star. He ultimately approached Latha’s parents asked for her hand in marriage. Although he was quite nervous about this, things worked out. With all decks cleared, Thalaiva tied the knot with her in Tirupathi and that became a new chapter in his life. Shortly after marriage, Rajini and Latha were blessed with their first child Aishwarya. Their younger daughter Soundaya was born a few years later. Latha and Rajini make a classy pair and normally maintain a low profile. A present, Latha is busy with her business commitments while Rajinikanth is awaiting the release of Kaala and 2.0

We wish them a belated happy wedding anniversary and hope that they have many more years together
