According to a leading website, veteran actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan plans to release his eagerly-awaited ‘Vishwaroopam 2’ in April 2018. However, these plans may change if Rajinikanth’s highly ambitious ‘2.0’ gets postponed. Confirming this, a source said that if ‘2.0’ gets delayed then Haasan will release his spy-thriller in January.
“Right now, the post-production is going on in full swing. The team still has about a week of shooting left which should be wrapped up this month. Kamal sir wants to have the film ready by this year end. He has two plans in mind. If Rajinikanth’s 2.0 gets postponed to April or summer of next year, Kamal sir wants to release Vishwaroopam 2 in January. Otherwise, he will stick to his original plan which is to release the film in April,” added the source.
The source went on to add that ‘Vishwaroopam 2’ requires a lot of VFX work and that is the reason behind the delays in its release.
“The film has extensive VFX work and it’s taking longer than expected. Kamal sir wants the quality to be top-notch. Since it’s a trilingual, it means triple the work and hence the delay,” added the source.
Well, this is a busy situation and it will be worth watching what happens next. Interestingly, the trailer of ‘Vishwaroopam 2’ was expected to come out yesterday but that did not happen. On a related note, this is a busy time for Haasan, He is expected to enter politics soon and add a new dimension to his life.
