The trailer of Sibi Sathyaraj's Sathya promises to be a whodunit thriller.

After starring in this year’s comedy film Kattappava Kanom, Sibi Sathyaraj is now ready with a new film, and this time it’s a thriller. Titled Sathya, the film is a remake of the 2016 Telugu hit, Kshanam. The trailer of the film released a few hours ago and is already gaining attention. The plot of the film explores the story of a man who begins a search for rescuing his ex-girlfriend’s daughter, who has been kidnapped. Apart from the intriguing sequences, the trailer also gives us a sneak-peak into the chemistry between the lead actors Sibi Sathyaraj and Varalaxmi. The action sequences, the crisp dialogues, and the background music give us an indication that this will be a film to watch out for.

It has to be noted that the Tamil remake rights of Kshanam were acquired by actor Sibi Sathyaraj for his production house, Naathambal Film Factory. Over the years, Sibi Sathyaraj has developed an eye to star in films with unique content. While his film Naanayam (2010) won his praises, it was Naaigal Jaakirathai (2014) that turned out to be a sleeper hit at the box office. Directed by Pradeep Krishnamoorthy, Sathya also stars Varalaxmi, Anand Raj and Satish in pivotal roles. The film is set for release on 8th December, 2017.
