Rajinikanth is beyond any doubt the biggest and most celebrated stars in Tamil cinema today. During a truly illustrious career, ‘Thalaiva’—as fans love to address him as—has won the love of moviegoers courtesy his charismatic personality, gripping personality and powerful style statement. Moreover, his is regarded as a source of inspiration by fans thanks to his simple and non-controversial nature.

Now, there is some good news for his fans. In an exciting development, some stills from his eagerly-awaited ‘Kaala’ are creating a buzz on the social media and that too for all the right reasons. In them, Rajini can be seen in a rustic avatar which he carries off quite well. His confident body language gels quite well with his look and ups its recall value in a big way.

That’s how you make an impact. We are sure that ‘Kaala’ will be a treat for his well-wishers. In case you did not know, ‘Kaala’ is touted to be a crime-drama and has been directed by Pa Ranjith. In it, Rajini will be seen alongside Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi and Nana Patekar. Sometime ago, the ‘Badlapur’ star had praised him and called him a terrific person. She had added that he is humility personified.

“It’s an amazing experience to work with Rajinikanth. When he walks, everybody becomes silent and make space for him. For me, the most beautiful thing with him is the simplicity he carries. He is such a humble person. I have never seen a superstar who is so humble, who is so simple and down-to-earth,” she had told a daily.

Interestingly, ‘Kaala’ is being produced by Dhanush under his banner. And, sometime ago, it was rumoured that he would be acting with Rajinikanth in ‘Kaala’. Reacting to the rumour, he had neither confirmed it nor denied it.

“I would love to act, but I seriously do not know anything about it. Yes agreed that I am the producer of the film, but I haven’t asked Ranjith. If it happens, I will be more than happy, as it is a privilege and an honour to act in Superstar’s movie. I also know to imitate him slightly, so it would be great, but let’s see,” he had added.

On a related note, besides ‘Kaala’, Rajini also has ‘2.0’ in his kitty. The film is a sequel to the 2010 blockbuster ‘Endhiran’ and will see ‘Thalaiva’ reprise his Chitti character from the first part. Besides Rajinikanth, ‘2.0’ also features Amy Jackson and Bollywood star Akshay Kumar in the lead. Akki will be playing the antagonist in what in the first Tamil dfilm of his illustrious career. At the 2.0 audio launch—which was held in Dubai in October—Akki had said that the film was a learning experience for him.

“I have done 130 films (in Bollywood). ‘2.0′ was my 131st film. I can only say that during the making of those 130 films, I got to learn little from every film, but I was learning throughout the shooting of this film. There’s a lot that we have to learn from South because the way they work, we have to understand a lot now. They work in unity and respect each other’s talent, we have to learn that,” the ‘Khiladi’ had said.

At the same event, Rajini had spoken about his 40-year-long journey and said urged fans to refrain from spreading negativity about films.

“I don’t even remember how these 40 years passed. It still feels like 4-5 years. If not for god’s grace and the love of my fans, I wouldn’t have come this far. These 40 years have taught me that fame and money only bring minimum happiness. When people ask me is it difficult to be Rajinikanth, I tell them it’s only possible because of my faith in the almighty,” he had said.
