The much-loved R Madhavan is someone who has quite successfully carved a niche for himself in Tamil cinema as well as Bollywood. During his successful career, the dashing star has acted in critically –acclaimed Hindi films such as ‘Guru’ and ‘Rehna Hain Tere Dil Mein’ to name a few . Similarly, he has also been a part of successful Tamil films like ‘Vikram Vedha’ and ‘Anbe Sivam’. During a recent chat with a leading news agency, ‘Maddy’ said that he sees no reason why he should choose Tamil films over Hindi ones or vice-versa.
“I can explore both the cinema worlds. Why do I need to choose one? These days, whether in Tamil or Hindi cinema, both are growing with immense experimentation. So, I see no reason for choosing one over another,” added the actor.
Talking about his career graph, he said that he is not choosy about the films he does but takes it easy as he does not want to feel burnt out by the time he reaches 50.
“I have been working on my skills and that will continue. See, the world’s biggest superstars earn the status of a superstar in their late 40s and 50s. If you ask me about me being choosy, I would say I am not. I just do not want to feel burnt out by the time I reach 50,” added the 47-year-old.
Madhavan also revealed that he constantly keeps working on his acting skills and is aware of his abilities as a performer.
“See, I cannot dance, I do not have a well-built body, neither do I have an adorable look that a superstar has. But yes, I am earning respect with my substantial work,” said Maddy.
On the work front, Madhavan will soon be seen in his first Telugu movie ‘Savyasachi’.
