Rajinikanth reaches Jammu and Kashmir as he continues the spiritual retreat

Veteran actor Rajinikanth, on Sunday, reached Jammu and geared up to visit the Shivkhori shine which is located in the Raesi district of Jammu and Kashmir. While interacting with the media, ‘Thalaiva’—as fans love to call him—said that he is a deeply spiritual person and has entered politics to serve the people of Tamil Nadu.

“Spiritualism is all about serving the people. I am entering politics to serve the people. My politics will basically be spiritual politics. “I have worked for 43 years in the film industry, but basically I am a spiritual being,” he added.

Well, this is bound to go down well with the star’s fans and supporters. In case you did not know, on the last day of 2017, Rajini had announced his entry into politics and added a new dimension to his career. While making the announcement, he had said that he would form his own party and try to improve the system.

“Before the state election, we will discuss what we can do, and what we cannot do. If we don’t do what we promise, We will resign within 3 years. We will be running spiritual politics. In the past one year, Tamil Nadu politics has come down to a miserable state. People from the other states are frowning upon us. Even after all this, If I am going to stay quiet, my conscience will prick me to the day I die. This is the state and you are the people who are the reason I am living today,” he had added.

On the film front, he currently has 2.0 and Kaala in his kitty. 2.0 is a sequel to Enthiran and has been directed by S Shankar. On the other hand, Kaala is a crime-drama and features him in the role of a gangster.
