According to the latest reports, former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has requested Tamil superstar Rajinikanth to attend a special screening of his recently released docu-drama feature ‘Sachin:A Billion Dreams’. The screening will most probably take place at the little mater’s residence in Mumbai.
For the uninitiated, ‘Thalaiva holds Sachin in high regard and even wished him good luck before this film’s release.
“Dear @sachin_rt , my best wishes for the success of ‘Sachin … a billion dreams’. God bless,” he had posted on Twitter.
For the uninitiated, ‘Sachin:A Billion Dreams’ revolves around Sachin’s rise to superstardom and highlights interesting aspects of his personal life. It has released rave reviews from all quarters. During its trailer launch, Sachin had opened up about his formative years and touched up an incident from his childhood.
“I was around 3-4 when at home, my family were constantly talking about a movie called Maa and then finally a day arrived when our entire family decided to go watch it in a theatre. We were travelling in a bus and the conductor naturally approached us and asked me ‘Which ticket do you want?’ Instead of telling him Bandra or Santacruz, I blurted out ‘Maa movie ki ticket chahiye,”he added.
On a related note, this is a busy time for ‘Thalaiva’. He is currently shooting for ‘Kaala’ in Mumbai. In the Pa Ranjith directorial, he will be seen essaying the role of a don. Besides ‘Kaala, he also has ‘2.0’ in his kitty. It is being directed by Shankar and features Akshay Kumar as an antagonist.
