Are you a fan of GV Prakash Kumar? If yes then we have some exciting news for you. According to the latest reports, the actor- composer has been roped in to star in director Seeman’s latest directorial venture which has tentatively been titled ‘Kobam’.

Interestingly, it must be pointed out here that a few years ago, Seeman had roped in Vijay for a film titled Kobam. However, the said project never took off. Needless to say, this recent development has led to speculation of Seeman reviving the project with GV Prakash Kumar stepping into the ‘Thalaivaa’ star’s shoes. It will be worth watching if this rumour is true.

For the uninitiated, GV Prakash Kumar has slowly but surely carved a niche for himself as an actor and delivered some commendable performances along the way. If he has indeed been chosen to essay a character originally meant for Vijay, it is undoubtedly a big achievement for him. On a related note, sometime ago he told a leading portal that he is interested in doing ‘path breaking’ films and making a difference along the way.

“I’m not interested in the regular commercial movies. I want to do path breaking films. I am looking to bring more promising newcomers,” he had said.

On the work front, GVP was last seen in ‘Bruce Lee’. Touted to be an action-comedy, it was directed by Prashanth Pandiraj. At present, he has a host of films in his kitty. They include ‘Semma’, ‘4 G’, Nachiyaar and ‘Ayngaran’ to name a few. Wow, that’s quite a line up!
