Screening of Tamil films has been banned in some theatres in order to avoid piracy. According to reports, the Anti Piracy squad of Tamil Film Producers Council, has sent a notice to QUBE to not give the KDM license to 9 theatres in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The notice has been sent through Tamil Film Producers Council President Vishal. The films including Vada Chennai, Sandakozhi 2 and Ezhumin will not be screened. The theatres won’t be allowed to screen the films after October 17.

As per the report in Deccan Chronicle, the theatres in the list are — Murugan and Nayanthara theatres in Krishangiri, Gomathi in Mayiladuthurai, Ellora in Karur, Chetpet Padmavathy in Arani, Sathyam in Bengaluru, Kavithalaya in Karur, Jai Sai Krishna in Virudhachalam and Cinepolis theatre in Mangalore.

Well, this seems to be a good move but with 9 theatres won’t be allowed to screen Tamil films, the questions is will the Box Office business of Dhanush starrer Vada Chennai, which released today affect?
