Sivakarthikeyan’s latest release Velaikkaran saw him pair up with lady superstar Nayanthara and the film went on to become one of the super hits of 2017. The film delivered a message about society and how a common man’s efforts can have an impact. The film is running in cinema halls even today and has had a great run so far. There were a lot of speculations around what genre will it be and who would that director would be that Sivakarthikeyan would act in. The actor has now clarified that he would soon be teaming up with seasoned filmmaker KS Ravi Kumar for a film that will be of Sci-Fi genre. The shooting of the film is yet to begin and is expected to hit the screens sometime after summer of 2018. More details of the film are expected to be revealed over the coming few days since the actor has already spilled beans about it. It is also being reported that one of the top actresses may be roped in for the film and negotiations are currently underway. The film will have Sivakarthikeyan don a role which he hasn’t so far in his career.

Lead actor Sivakarthikeyan had said that after working on the film, he feels more responsible and now plans to take steps in his career wisely. “After working in Velaikkaran, I feel more responsible. I’ve worked in a television commercial once. I promise now that I won’t endorse any brands henceforth in my career. There’s an emotional sequence in the story, which has led me to this decision. I’m not at liberty to talk about the scene now. But, it left an indelible mark on me,” Sivakarthikeyan had said.
