Aishwarya Rajesh is arguably one of the most popular young stars in Tamil cinema. And, now, she is all set to essay quite a challenging character on the big screen. In an exciting development, she will be seen playing the role of a cricketer in actor Sivakarthikeyan’s first production venture. The film has already gone on the floors and will have a female-centric plot.

Confirming the good news, Aishwarya said that the film will revolve around the struggles of her character.
“The film is based on women’s cricket and I play a cricketer, who hails from a small town. How she makes her mark and realises her dream form the crux,” she added.

Not surprisingly, Aishwarya is taking cricket lessons for her role and is finding it to be a challenging experience. Talking about it, she said that it is not easy at all and added that the film is a special one for her.

“It is not easy to play this game despite knowing the basics. I have already begun training for it. Also, to be honest, I had never watched women’s cricket before signing this film, but now, I have started following it. I love the body language of the women cricketers and the attitude with which they carry themselves. It’s an honour to play a woman cricketer on screen. This one’s close to my heart and I have been working sincerely on the project. The film is sure to reach pan-Indian audiences,” added the actor.
