Akshay Kumar about Rajinikanth: Everything he does is so stylish

Akshay Kumar is arguably one of the biggest stars in Bollywood today. He enjoys a strong fan following courtesy his sincere performances, macho looks, solid physique and humble personality. Later this year, B-town’s ‘Khiladi’ will be making his Kollywood debut with the eagerly-awaited ‘2.0’ and adding a new dimension to his career. The film is a sequel to the 2010 blockbuster ‘Enthiran’ and will see Akki share screen space with Tamil legend Rajinikanth. In the film’s posters, Akshay can be seen in a ferocious new avatar that he carries off like a boss.

In fact, it would not be wrong to say that the look is bound to send Goosebumps down one’s spine. Not surprisingly, the awesome posters have led to speculation about his role. The most popular rumour is that he will be playing the role of a scientist-turned-crowman in ‘2.0’. During a recent chat with a daily, Akshay reacted to these rumours and said that everything we have heard about his role so far is totally incorrect. Talking about his decision to do a villainous role in ‘2.0’, he said that he has no qualms about it as a hero can only be appreciated when there is a strong villain.

“Many people asked me why I wanted to play a villain and I told them, ‘Why not?’ A hero exists only when there’s a villain. I had never imagined that I would be part of the costliest Indian film,” he added.

Praising Rajinikanth. Akshay said that he is style personified.

“Once, we were just sitting on the set, waiting for the next shot and he brushed some dirt off his pants. The entire unit was awestruck by how stylishly he did it. Everything he does is so stylish. I even enjoyed getting punched by him,” he added.

Well, this is a sweet comment and is bound to create a buzz amongst fans.

So, will you be watching ‘2.0’ when it hits screens this April? Comments, please!
