Actress Amala Paul just took to Twitter and praised lady superstar Nayanthara’s performance in the recently released ‘Aramm’.She said that the industry is home to several masala films, which glorify heroes– but ‘Aramm’ that good films can be made even if the formula is not followed. She went on to add that the film has also proved that ‘good cinema matters.
“Hence proved, good cinema matters, kudos to #Nayanthara and director #GopiNainar , in an industry which is plagued with masala movies scripted for star heroes, #Aramm has proved the formula to be wrong. Good cinema matters, good story matters, good performances matter!” she added.
Well, these are some sweet words and are bound to create a buzz amongst Nayan’s fans. In case you did not know, ‘Aramm’ is a social drama and touches upon the water scarcity issue. In it, ‘Thalaivi’ plays the role of a collector who uses her position to solve a difficult situation. Shortly after it’s release, producer KJ Rajesh had confirmed that a sequel is on the cards and will come out in 2018.
Interestingly, Amala is not the first star to praise ‘Aramm’. Recently Sivakarthikeyan too had praised it and called it a bold attempt at storytelling.
“There is no entertainment quotient in Nayanthara’s Aramm and the makers have made a bold decision of straight away jumping into the strong content. It is a wonderful and touching film which is a must watch for one and all as it touches upon important and essential issues and engages audiences throughout,” he had said.
