The graceful Amala Paul is arguably one of the most talented young stars in Southern cinema today. And, these days, the lady has been in the news thanks to her upcoming film ‘Thiruttu Payale 2’. A sequel to the 2006 release ‘Thiruttu Payale’, the Susi Ganesan directorial has already created a buzz amongst movie buffs thanks to its sensuous posters and racy/lively trailer. Not surprisingly, its posters have created an impression that it is an erotic-thriller. During a recent chat with a leading daily, producer Kalpathi S Aghoram said that contrary to perception, ‘Thiruttu Payale 2’ is not an erotic-thriller at all. He went on to add that the film has been passed with a U/A certificate.
“This is not an erotic thriller. It has, in fact, got a U/A certificate. There is an underlying message in the film on how not to get trapped by social media. The message will not be too loud, but will be conveyed in a subtle manner,” he added.
Besides this, he also praised Amala Paul and said that the sequel is actually even better than the first part.
“In hindsight, we now think she’s the only person who could have done justice to the role. We also roped in melody king Vidyasagar to do the music. Simhaa and Prasanna have given it their best for the role and all the three actors will get a good break. In fact, this has come out better than the first part,” added the producer.
Well, we wish the team of ‘Thiruttu Payale 2’ the very best and hope that the film does well at the box office.
