Amy Jackson opts out of South remake of Queen for ‘Supergirl’?

Actress Amy Jackson will be next seen in superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film ‘2.0’ which is directed by the creative filmmaker Shankar S. Amy Jackson also has couple of other films which she is part of in South Indian cinema including the remake of Bollywood super hit film ‘Queen’. Amy Jackson was roped in to play the role played by Lisa Haydon in the original and was to join the shooting of the film soon but latest reports reveal that Amy Jackson has decided to opt out of the project due to date issues. According to latest reports, Amy Jackson decided to pull out to allocate more dates for her American show ‘Supergirl’ in which she will be seen playing the ‘Saturn Girl‘.

The actress has, however, not confirmed this development yet and an official confirmation from either Amy Jackson or the makers of the remakes is waited for. Amy Jackson is also part of Kichcha Sudeep’s ‘The Villain’. This will mark the debut of the actress in Sandalwood and is aimed to be released in early 2018. If Amy really decides to opt out of the remake of Queen, then the makers of the film will have to look for an alternate option.

The Kannada remake of Queen will feature Parul Yadav in the lead role which was played by Kangana Ranaut while the Tamil version will have Kajal Aggarwal essaying the role. Tamannaah Bhatia will play the lead role in Telugu remake of Queen while Manjima Mohan will be seen reprising Kangana’s role in the Malayalam version of the remake.
