Fans of Tamil cinema and Kamal Haasan in particular were a happy group when it was announced that director Shankar will be making a sequel to Indian starring Kamal Haasan. The shooting of the film is yet to begin and reports are doing rounds that it will kickstart from August this year in Hyderabad. While there is no official confirmation regarding this, buzz in Tamil film circles is that the makers are building a huge set at a studio in Hyderabad and Kamal Haasan will begin shooting soon. Latest reports also reveal that the music composer has been finalised for the film and the choice seems a but surprising. According to emerging reports, young sensation Anirudh Ravichander is being considered to compose for this big budgeted project. The first part, Indian, had music by A.R.Rahman and a musical hit too, the second part may not have his renditions, reports indicate.
It is also being said that actor Nayanthara may be signed on for the lead actress role in Indian 2 and the discussions are still on about it. This will be the first time association for the actress to pair up with Kamal Haasan in her long career.
Shankar S is currently working on the most prestigious project – 2.0 – which is a sequel to his 2010 film Enthiran. With Rajinikanth in the lead role, 2.0 will have Amy Jackson playing the leading lady and Bollywood top actor Akshay Kumar will be seen playing the antagonist. 2.0 is slated to be released in January 2018 and the post-production works on the film are currently in progress.
Kamal Haasan had announced recently that he will no longer do films since he will now be entering politics. Indian 2 might just be the film which will elevate his entry in politics and may have his political ideologies in it too.
